Due to adverse weather, forecast strong winds and sea conditions, sailings on this route are now cancelled. Alternative ports have been considered however are not viable at this time. There will be a review at 16:00 on Monday for sailings on Tuesday 8 September.

Due to adverse weather forecast of strong winds all MV Pabbay Lass sailings between Berneray and Leverburgh are cancelled Monday 7 & Tuesday 8 September Inter-Island Sailings Due to continued adverse weather of strong winds and associated sea conditions, the Tarbert -Lochmaddy service operated by MV Glen Sannox is liable to disruption or cancellation at short notice. Passengers intending to travel on the morning of Tuesday 8 September are asked to consider bringing their travel arrangements forward to travel on Monday where possible. Until Sunday 13 September MV Loch Portain remains out of service at James Watt Dock, Greenock, while investigations into vibration levels affecting all four main engines and their associated gearboxes continue. At present, we are not in a position to return MV Loch Portain to the Sound of Harris service for the remainder of the Summer timetable. We are continuing to work through the recommendations outlined by the equipment manufacturer and are reviewing service plans from 13 September onwards. An update regarding services from Sunday 13 September will be provided during the week commencing Monday 7 September. MV Glen Sannox will operate an interisland service between Tarbert and Lochmaddy until Sunday 13 September Due to an issue with the gangway at Tarbert, passengers are required to embark/disembark via the car deck. Passenger charter MV Pabbay Lass will operate the following additional sailings from Leverburgh Pontoons and the Fishermans Pier in Berneray: Depart Leverburgh Pontoons – 07:30, 16:30 Depart Fishermans Pier in Berneray – 08:15, 17:15 The vessel can accommodate a maximum of 12 passengers (including up to five infants), dogs and push bikes which customers must carry up/down the steps to the vessel.
